Scope of Application

1) Industrial and civil roofing projects (both exposed and non-exposed waterproof layers), especially suitable for roofs with unstable structures, prone to shrinkage and cracking, or with water vapor generation.

2) Waterproofing, anti-seepage, and moisture-proofing for underground projects such as open-cut subways, tunnels, ponds, canals, garages, and other similar structures.

Construction Technology

1) Cleaning the base surface: Waterproof construction requires that the cement mortar surface of the base leveling layer is smooth and firm, shoveling off the sludge and debris and cleaning it up.

2) Brushing the bottom layer: After mixing the modified asphalt cold base oil evenly, apply it evenly on the base surface without penetration and accumulation.

3) Elastic thread and trial laying: Pop up and paste the control thread on the base layer according to the actual overlap area, and strictly follow the control thread for trial laying and actual glue laying of coiled materials. According to the characteristics of the site, determine the density of the elastic line to ensure that the coil is pasted smoothly and will not be skewed due to accumulated errors. The coil should be placed in place for a trial first, and then the actual gluing can be started after the correct shape is cut according to the needs.

4) Large-area paving coil: In actual construction, the construction personnel can determine the method of pasting by themselves according to the site environment, temperature, sunshine and other conditions, but the basic exhaust, compaction.

5) After venting and compacting the large-area coil that has been laid, use a small hand-held roller to roll the overlapped part, and roll from the inner edge of the overlap to exhaust air and stick firmly.

6) Coil lap joint sealing: Usually the coil lap joints pasted according to the aforementioned requirements do not need to be specially sealed, but the weak points, such as the short side lap joint of the coil, pipe packaging, and more cuts of the coils in special-shaped parts, should be sealed with edge sealing paste.

7) Retracting and fixing and sealing: After the ends of the coils are trimmed, they are pressed into the reserved groove (a trapezoidal groove of depth 20 mm × height 40 mm + 60 mm), and metal bead nails are used for firmness. Adhesive edge sealing paste for sealing.

Matters Needing Attention

1) It is not allowed to construct on the contaminated base level.

2) Coil packaging and isolation film can only be removed before paving and during the next process.

3) The materials should be placed in a dry and ventilated warehouse, and sun and rain are forbidden.

4) The coiled material should be laid flat, and the stacking height should not exceed three layers. Avoid contact with benzene and substances that affect the chemical properties of the asphalt coiled material.
